This website was brought about by my desire to share with you what life is like when you suffer from this dreadful illness and any other chronic unseen illness for that matter. I was diagnosed with ME / Fibromyalgia in the year 2000, however, I have been unwell since 1985 when I had glandular fever and spent months in hospital. Over the years the illness has gradually become worse and I am now unable to work outside the home, often housebound, and sometimes bedbound for weeks at a time. I hope this me … blog will enlighten the world as the plight of ME/FM, and other unseen illness, sufferers.

Typically I will post at least once a week. However, when I am doing a course or something that I think you will be interested in I may post more frequently.

As well, every year I will spend the full month of May blogging an ME / FM diary. This will be heavy going for me and also for those who read it too as I will pull no punches or dress with any rose coloured glasses. It will be real, and well worth reading if you are interested in the day to day aspects of living with this condition. These blogs can be found in: ‘ME / FM awareness …‘.

If you don’t want to miss any of these posts why not sign up to my newsletter below or using the subscription box that can be found in the bottom right hand corner of the footer in each page.

about (for the ME / FM sufferer) ...

As well as enlightenment for the general reader and sufferer alike, I also want the blog to offer actual sufferers a place to find out about new research, treatments and methods of helping themselves have a much better quality of life. A place where they don’t feel so alone.

You will find most of the posts I write relate to sufferers, especially those found in the blog areas, ‘ME or FM‘, ‘bad days‘, ‘good days‘, ‘research & treatments‘.

about (for the ME / FM carer) ...

As well as enlightenment for the general reader and sufferer alike, I also want the blog to offer the carers of actual sufferers a place to find out about new research, treatments and methods of helping their loved ones, and themselves, to have a much better quality of life. A place where they also don’t feel so alone.

You will find that a lot of the posts I write can offer insight to carers, especially those found in the blog areas, ‘ME or FM‘, ‘bad days‘, ‘good days‘, ‘nutrition‘, ‘psychology‘, ‘recreation‘, ‘research & treatments‘.
